Listed as one of the great sites of the Midi Pyrénées region, the Dordogne Valley is home to the Parc des Causses du Quercy and has been awarded the Pays d’art et d’histoire label. Clinging to a mighty cliff 150 meters above the Alzou valley, it boasts the famous Marian city of Rocamadour, as well as France’s most beautiful villages, castles, bastides, Romanesque churches and characterful houses.
The Lacave caves offer a magical underground world of lakes, waterfalls and petrified columns.

The spectacular Gouffre de Padirac is an impressive sight, with access through a 75-metre natural cavity and along galleries dug out over thousands of years by a mysterious underground river.

Everywhere you go, you’ll be in good company with Mother Nature, divided between contemplation and the discovery of a wide range of activities on foot, by bike, on the water, in the air…!

We can’t talk about the Dordogne Valley without mentioning its terroir and gastronomy!
You can visit farms, farmers’ markets and theme markets (truffles, walnuts, plums…).
Our gastronomy reflects the passion and hard work of our people and is inspired by the powerful, arid or generous landscapes of this land: Quercy lamb and the famous Rocamadour cheese are its first ambassadors, but so are Périgord walnuts and the golden plum of Carennac, Amadour and Côteaux de Glanes wines, Quercy saffron made from crocus, truffles and foie gras…
